“A policeman is a composite of what all men are, I guess. A mingling of saint and sinner, dust and deity. Culled statistics wave the fan over stinkers, underscore instances of dishonesty and brutality, because they are news. What that really means is that they are exceptional, they are unusual, they are not commonplace. Buried under the froth is the fact, and the fact is that less than one half of one percent misfit that uniform. And, that is a better average than you’d find among the clergymen.” -Paul Harvey
Sometimes we need to remember that society is protected from within by people drawn from its own ranks. Few societies in the history of the world have had the ability to produce generations of citizens capable of effective and honest policing. Paul Harvey said it much better than I could ever hope…
Tamerlan Tsarnaev on welfare!!!

By: Chris Cassidy, BostonHerald.com
Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned. Read more…

Tune in soon for the hilarious mockumentary about how Mitt Romney survived his hardscrabble childhood ‘burbs of Bloomfield Hills to become the man he is today. It’s aptly named The Man from Bloomfield Hills, and it’s coming out just in time for Romney’s acceptance speech!
Our efforts to define Mitt Romney as the candidate for the 1% are working. Nearly 6 in 10 Americans think Romney will look out for the rich more than the middle class if he becomes president.1
But Romney just pulled ahead of President Obama in the latest national poll, and he’s gaining ground in some key swing states.2 At the Republican Convention in Tampa this week, Romney’s going to try to do what all the experts say he has to—make us believe that he actually cares about the middle class, even though all the evidence shows otherwise.
That’s why it’s so important to remind voters that Romney and Ryan will step on cash-strapped seniors by dismantling Medicare and walk over the struggling middle class with more taxes to pay for steep tax cuts for the rich.3 And we have a video that LITERALLY shows just that.
Watch this short video of Romney and Ryan accepting their nomination for President and Vice President of the 1%. And then share it with all your friends so that they’re not fooled.
Thanks for all you do.

Louisville, KY – As the world knows by now 24-year-old James Holmes has been identified as the shooter in the Aurora, Colorado shooting spree on Friday. While many rationalize that Holmes must be crazy, I am left to wonder, is he really crazy, or did he calculate the risk that he could get away with it by reason of insanity as some sort of “experiment” using himself as the test subject.
Either way there are many questions to be asked and all relate to the psyche of James Holmes.
All reports indicate that the attack by Holmes was a well thought out and executed planned one.
According to a police statement on Saturday , Holmes planned the attack with calculation and deliberation. He received deliveries over a span of four months that included ammunition, gear, and guns that authorities believe were used in the attack.
He booby-trapped his apartment with explosive material mean to kill anyone who entered.
Holmes attack seemingly came out of nowhere with little known of him outside of school.
He reportedly has no online presence to speak of, no close friends, no arrest records. Think about it. In today’s age he has no apparent Facebook page, twitter, MySpace, or any other social network. NOT having any of these with today’s technology is almost unheard of.
So who is James Holmes? Read more…
ObamaCare, a very liberal attempt at Nationalized US Health Care, constitutionally legal!!!! NOT so fast it is not the end of the world or the US republic. Chief Roberts may have snuck a HUGE mickey in President Obama’s celebration Champagne. Long term ObamaCare pushed a half dozen major constitutional questions and now we have definitive rulings for “States Rights” and “Redistribution of Wealth”.
Like many Americans, I was ready to fire off a really nasty Facebook message to my Congressman John Yarmuth. Chief Justice Roberts had completely abandoned his entire legacy in favor of the socialist manifesto we call the “ObamaCare” National Health Care System. Since I am not an attorney practicing Constitutional Law and like the rest of middle class America my news comes from RSS feeds, the daily paper and MSNBC I was completely unaware there was even a possibility this legislation would pass any Supreme Court “constitutionality” tests. We took the defeat of mandated participation in the US Health Insurance program for granted.
However, after cooler heads prevailed and a more educated read of the S
upreme Court ruling tax paying Americans have probably just won not only this battle but the US Presidency for Romney this fall. This article explains every thing the Judge got right:
“Ultimately, Roberts supported states rights by limiting the federal government’s coercive abilities. He ruled that the government can not force the people to purchase products or services under the commerce clause and he forced liberals to have to come clean and admit that Obama-care is funded by tax increases.”
The question now is will Kentucky participate in ObamaCare?
That choice has now been set directly in front of our Democrat controlled Kentucky State Legislators.
Let them know your opinion and the fact you vote.

Louisville, KY – The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) handed down their decision today on the controversial Arizona illegal immigration law known as SB 1070. As expected they upheld the US Government’s right to sovereignty when dealing with illegal immigrants. Arizona needs a good criminal attorney to sue the US Government for malfeasance.
At issue was whether or not Arizona could enforce an illegal immigration policy that is reeking havoc on their State and communities due to an unwillingness by federal officials to do their job in illegal immigrant enforcement.
Even the SCOTUS in their opinion pointed out the obvious problems Arizona is encountering with illegal immigration noting that illegal immigrants comprise up to 8.9% of the population and are responsible for 21.8% of all felonies, primarily in Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix.
They go further to state, “Statistics alone do not capture the full extent of Arizona’s concerns. Accounts in the record suggest there is an“epidemic of crime, safety risks, serious property damage, and environmental problems” associated with the influx of illegal migration across private land near the Mexican border.
These are not new problems to Arizona but ones that are well-known to the US Government leadership. Ones that also go unchallenged.
If the feds refuse to do their job and clean up the mess their own rules allow then what choices do States have that are left to pay for it? Read more…
Louisville, KY – You would think that after the Judy Green debacle that all Council members would insure their own house was clean. You would think that Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin would be at the top of the house cleaning list since she went on public record against former Councilwoman Green and helped impeach her.
There isn’t much doubt in my mind that Judy Green has been sending info to different sources, presumably including the C-J’s Dan Klepal, to try to get even with Shanklin for her role in Green’s being ousted. After all she promised she would out Shanklin, and others. Green even gave us a prelude to what was coming during her own fight when she publicly outed Shanklin’s grandson during a WFPL interview.
Nothing about the allegations against Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin is a surprise to anyone.
That’s just the way it is in politics.
And that’s the problem.
At issue are the latest allegations against Shanklin for a general fund expense of $30,000 to fund an “ex-offender” job training program to upholster furniture.
According to Dan Klepal, it was halted only after corrections Director Mark Bolton expressed concern about the program to the city’s chief financial officer, Steve Rowland. Read more…
